2022 LOLA Artisanal Series St. Helena Chenin Blanc

The LOLA Artisanal Series St. Helena Chenin Blanc comes from vines nearly half a century old planted next to Revana and Grace Family Vineyards, just north of the town of St. Helena. The grapes are small and concentrated on loose clusters, formed with a California sprawl canopy to allow for maximum airflow and even ripeness of the individual berries. Once picked, the grapes are whole-cluster pressed and the juice is allowed a native cool fermentation in old neutral French oak barrels. This wine is racked once at bottling, and then bottled unfined and unfiltered. The resulting wine is fresh, bright, and crisp on the palate with aromas of jasmine, pear, and apple.
