2023 LOLA Artisanal Series Calistoga Dry Muscat

The LOLA Artisanal Series Calistoga Dry Muscat comes from a 1.5-acre vineyard, planted in the early 1970s, just north of the town of Calistoga at the base of Mount St. Helena. Like our Malvasia Bianca and Dry Riesling, we use four different fermentation and aging vessels (amphora, concrete, neutral oak, and stainless steel) and leave about 30% of the grape skins during fermentation, which adds layers of structure and natural tannin to the palate. This wine was also left on its naturally settled yeasts and lees throughout its six-month élévage, and then bottled unfined and unfiltered, contributing to the wine’s aromatics and complexity. The finished wine is dry, fresh, bright, and crisp on the palate with intense aromas of passionfruit, guava, and mango.
