2023 LOLA Artisanal Series Yountville Counoise
LOLA Counoise is planted along the Napa River, just south of the town of Yountville.
This obscure grape varietal, originally from the south of France, produces wines that are light and delicate, yet intensely fruity and fresh. We ferment our Counoise at cooler temperatures to preserve this freshness before the wine is aged for six months in neutral oak barrels, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The wine shows very vibrant aromas of blueberry and cranberry, along with subtle notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, the wine’s bright acidity and soft tannins lead to a beautiful fruit-forward finish.
This is a great, light-bodied red to serve chilled. 220 cases produced.
