2024 LOLA Artisanal Series Yountville Rosé of Counoise

The LOLA Counoise vines are planted along the Napa River, just south of the town of Yountville. The entire vineyard is CCOF certified organic.This obscure grape varietal, originally from the south of France, produces wines that are light and delicate, yet intensely fresh and fruity. When produced as Rosé, the wine becomes even lighter and fresher with a crisp and racy mouthfeel. The LOLA Artisanal Series Counoise Rosé is whole-cluster pressed. The unsettled juice, and a small amount of skins and stems, are fermented at cool temperatures to preserve freshness. The finished wine is aged for five months in 50% stainless steel and 50% neutral oak and then bottled unfined and unfiltered. The resulting wine shows beautiful aromas of rose petals, tart cherry, and raspberry with zesty acidity and crisp mouthfeel, leading to a clean, dry, and fresh finish.
